Sulfadiazine 500 mg Tablet is manufactured and supplied by Trumac Healthcare, a WHO-GMP certified pharmaceutical company in India. This tablet is available for monopoly PCD pharma franchise, wholesale and distributor supply, and third party / contract manufacturing across all Indian states.
Therapeutic Indications
- Toxoplasmosis, combined with pyrimethamine and folinic acid
- Nocardiosis
- Prevention of recurrent rheumatic fever in penicillin-allergic patients
- Selected urinary tract infections caused by susceptible organisms
Mechanism of Action
Sulfadiazine is a sulfonamide that competes with para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), blocking the enzyme dihydropteroate synthase. This prevents microbes from making folic acid and stops their growth; it works synergistically with pyrimethamine against Toxoplasma.

- Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and complete the full course as advised.
