About Thiamac-100 Injection
Thiamac-100 Injection delivers Thiamine 100 mg IM/IV — for Wernicke encephalopathy (give before glucose to prevent worsening), severe alcoholic beriberi, hyperemesis gravidarum with neurology, and severe nutritional B1 deficiency.

Mechanism of Action
Thiamine (Vitamin B1) is essential cofactor for pyruvate dehydrogenase, transketolase, and alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase — critical for cellular energy metabolism. Deficiency causes beriberi (cardiac and neurological forms) and Wernicke encephalopathy.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 100 mg IM/IV daily for 3–5 days, then oral. Wernicke: high-dose 500 mg IV three times daily.
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated. Rare anaphylaxis with IV/IM injection (give slowly). Anaphylaxis with rapid IV push — give slowly.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity, on parenteral magnesium (interaction).
