About Trudine-MS Ointment
Trudine-MS Ointment is a triple-action wound healing combination of Metronidazole 1% w/w (anti-anaerobic), Sucralfate 7% w/w (cytoprotective film-forming agent) and Povidone Iodine 5% w/w (broad-spectrum antiseptic).
Sucralfate forms a sticky protective barrier over the wound base, binds bile salts and proteinases, and stimulates local prostaglandin and growth-factor release — making it especially useful in chronic ulcers, anal fissure and radiation-induced wounds.

Mechanism of Action
Metronidazole eliminates anaerobic bacteria contributing to wound malodour and chronicity. Povidone Iodine provides sustained release of microbicidal iodine, active against bacteria, fungi, viruses, spores and protozoa. Sucralfate, a sulphated polysaccharide-aluminium complex, adheres to ulcerated tissue forming a protective barrier; it locally upregulates basic fibroblast growth factor and stimulates angiogenesis and epithelial proliferation.
Dosage & Administration
