Mechanism of Action
Evogliptin — Evogliptin inhibits the DPP-4 enzyme, prolonging the action of the incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP. This increases glucose-dependent insulin release and lowers glucagon secretion, reducing blood sugar.
Metformin — Reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity in muscle, lowering blood sugar without stimulating insulin release.
