About Truceb-100 Syrup
Truceb-100 Syrup provides Acebrophylline 10 mg per ml — paediatric mucolytic + bronchodilator combining ambroxol (thins mucus, stimulates surfactant) and theophylline-7-acetate (bronchodilation via PDE inhibition).
Useful in paediatric chronic bronchitis, asthma with thick mucus, and COPD exacerbations in adolescents.

Mechanism of Action
Acebrophylline is a complex of ambroxol and theophylline-7-acetate — providing combined mucolytic effect (ambroxol component: stimulates surfactant, depolymerises mucus mucopolysaccharide fibres) and PDE-inhibitor bronchodilation (theophylline component). Used for COPD, chronic bronchitis, and asthma with thick mucus.
Dosage & Administration
Children: 5–10 ml twice daily based on age. Adults: 10–15 ml twice daily.
Side Effects
Tremor, palpitations, tachycardia (xanthine effects), nausea, GI upset, headache.
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe cardiac arrhythmia, severe peptic ulcer, hyperthyroidism, seizure disorders, severe hepatic impairment.
