About Doxytic-LB Capsule
Doxytic-LB Capsule combines Doxycycline 100 mg with Lactobacillus 5 Million spores — providing tetracycline antibiotic action with concurrent probiotic protection against antibiotic-associated diarrhoea (AAD). Particularly valuable for long courses (acne treatment, chronic infections).
Used for atypical pneumonia, acne (long-term low-dose), Lyme disease, rickettsial infections and other tetracycline-responsive infections.

Mechanism of Action
Doxycycline binds 30S ribosome inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. Lactobacillus competes with pathogenic gut bacteria and reduces AAD.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule twice daily after meals. Take with plenty of water (avoid oesophageal irritation).
Side Effects
GI upset (reduced by lactobacillus), photosensitivity, oesophagitis if taken without water, dental discolouration in children <8.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Pregnancy. Children under 8. Severe hepatic impairment.
