About Moxirut Eye/Ear Drops
Moxirut Eye/Ear Drops contains Moxifloxacin HCl 0.5% in a buffered solution. The 4th-generation fluoroquinolone provides broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive, Gram-negative and atypical pathogens.
Indicated for bacterial conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, otitis externa and pre-operative ocular surgery prophylaxis.

Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin is a 4th-generation fluoroquinolone that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, halting bacterial DNA replication. Its 8-methoxy substitution gives enhanced Gram-positive, atypical and anaerobic coverage with reduced resistance development.
