About Neparut Eye Drops
Neparut Eye Drops contains Nepafenac 0.1%, a unique prodrug NSAID that is converted to amfenac in ocular tissues. The prodrug nature provides superior corneal penetration compared to other ophthalmic NSAIDs.
Indicated for prevention and treatment of post-cataract surgery pain and inflammation, and notably for prevention of cystoid macular oedema (CME) in patients at risk (diabetes, prior CME).

Mechanism of Action
Nepafenac is a prodrug that crosses the cornea efficiently due to its lipophilic nature, then is hydrolysed by intraocular amidases to the active NSAID amfenac. Amfenac potently inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 in the anterior segment, retina and choroid — uniquely suited for inflammation deep in the eye.
