About Nitrocam-2.6 Tablet
Nitrocam-2.6 Tablet contains Nitroglycerine 2.6 mg (Controlled Release). Nitroglycerine in controlled-release form provides sustained nitrate delivery for chronic angina prophylaxis.
Indicated for prophylaxis of chronic stable angina pectoris. Used to reduce frequency and severity of angina attacks.

Mechanism of Action
Nitroglycerine is converted in vascular smooth muscle to nitric oxide (NO), which activates guanylate cyclase. The resulting cGMP increase causes smooth-muscle relaxation, predominantly venodilation at lower doses (reducing preload) and additional arteriolar dilation at higher doses (reducing afterload). Together these reduce myocardial oxygen demand.
