About Trucold-DS Suspension
Trucold-DS Suspension is a double-strength paediatric anti-cold syrup providing Paracetamol 250 mg, Phenylephrine 5 mg and Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg per 5 ml. The higher-strength formulation is convenient for older children and adolescents.
It relieves the full symptom complex of common cold — fever, headache, nasal blockage, runny nose, sneezing and allergic itch — with a single palatable dose.

Indications

Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol centrally inhibits prostaglandin synthesis to control fever and pain. Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 selective vasoconstrictor that decongests nasal mucosa. Chlorpheniramine antagonises histamine H1 receptors to control sneezing, rhinorrhoea and itching.
