About Tynar-Plus SR Tablet
Tynar-Plus SR is a dual-action migraine prophylactic combining the non-selective beta-blocker Propranolol 40 mg with the calcium-channel blocker Flunarizine 10 mg. The combination is reserved for patients with frequent migraine who fail to respond to a single agent.
It is particularly useful in migraine with prominent autonomic features, vascular headache associated with anxiety, and refractory chronic migraine.

Mechanism of Action
Propranolol is a non-selective beta-adrenoceptor antagonist that reduces sympathetic tone and stabilises cerebrovascular reactivity — established as a first-line migraine prophylactic. Flunarizine, a T-type calcium-channel blocker, reduces cortical spreading depression and stabilises ionic homeostasis in cerebral and vestibular neurons.
