About Tamsofer-0.4 Tablet

Tamsofer-0.4 Tablet contains Tamsulosin HCl IP 0.4 mg, a selective alpha-1A adrenergic blocker used for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms and medical expulsive therapy of ureteric stones.

Indicated for moderate-to-severe lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) of BPH and as medical expulsive therapy for lower ureteric stones (5–10 mm).

Mechanism of Action

Tamsulosin selectively blocks alpha-1A adrenergic receptors predominantly expressed in the prostate, bladder neck and distal ureter — relaxing smooth muscle and improving urine flow. The selectivity gives less effect on vascular alpha-1B receptors, reducing orthostatic hypotension risk.

Dosage & Administration
