About Vildaron-P 50/15 Tablet
Vildaron-P 50/15 Tablet contains Vildagliptin 50 mg + Pioglitazone 15 mg. Vildagliptin is a selective DPP-4 inhibitor with weight-neutral, low-hypoglycaemia profile.
Indicated for type-2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy or in combination with Metformin / Pioglitazone.

Mechanism of Action
Vildagliptin inhibits DPP-4, prolonging incretin (GLP-1, GIP) action. Increased glucose-dependent insulin secretion and decreased glucagon release improve glycaemic control without producing hypoglycaemia in non-eugenic states. Pioglitazone is a PPAR-gamma agonist that improves peripheral insulin sensitivity.
