About Calcirut Suspension (100ml)
Calcirut Suspension provides paediatric-friendly calcium and active vitamin D supplementation in liquid form. Each ml contains Calcitriol 0.0625 mcg (the active form of vitamin D3) with elemental calcium derived from Calcium Citrate. The suspension format ensures accurate dosing in infants, toddlers and young children, and is preferred by elderly patients with swallowing difficulty.
Adequate calcium intake during the rapid-growth years is critical for peak bone mass attainment. Calcitriol bypasses the need for renal hydroxylation, providing immediate vitamin D activity for intestinal calcium absorption. Calcium Citrate is well absorbed independent of gastric pH, making this combination particularly suitable for children, pregnant women and the elderly.
Calcirut Suspension is manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing — a high-volume paediatric SKU.

Mechanism of Action
Calcitriol acts directly on vitamin D receptors in enterocytes to enhance intestinal calcium and phosphate absorption, while also regulating bone remodelling.
