About Calimac-P Suspension (200ml)
Calimac-P Suspension is a liquid formulation providing Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin D3 per 5 ml dose. The inclusion of phosphorus distinguishes this formulation — bone is composed of calcium hydroxyapatite, which contains calcium and phosphorus in approximately 2:1 ratio. Adequate phosphorus intake alongside calcium is essential for proper bone mineralisation.
The liquid format makes Calimac-P particularly suited to children (whose growing bones require high mineral intake), pregnant and lactating women, and elderly patients with swallowing difficulty. Phosphorus deficiency, while less common than calcium deficiency, can impair bone mineralisation even with adequate calcium intake.

Mechanism of Action
Calcium and phosphorus are co-incorporated into hydroxyapatite, the primary mineral component of bone. Magnesium activates vitamin D and is incorporated into bone. Zinc cofactors alkaline phosphatase. Vitamin D3 enhances intestinal absorption of both calcium and phosphorus.
Dosage & Administration
Children 1–5 years: 5 ml twice daily. Children 6–12 years: 10 ml twice daily. Adults: 10–15 ml twice daily. Shake well before use; doses as advised by physician.
Side Effects
Generally well tolerated. Mild GI upset, occasional diarrhoea. Rare hypercalcaemia with excessive dosing.

Hypersensitivity. Hypercalcaemia. Hyperphosphataemia. Severe renal impairment.
