About Cofar-B Syrup
Cofar-B Syrup combines Terbutaline 1.25 mg (bronchodilator), Bromhexine 2 mg (mucolytic) and Guaifenesin 50 mg (expectorant) per 5 ml. Similar to Cofar-A but uses Bromhexine instead of Ambroxol as the mucolytic component — Bromhexine is the older, parent compound of Ambroxol.
Used for productive cough with bronchospasm in children and adults — particularly in mild asthma, acute bronchitis with wheezing and post-viral bronchospastic cough.
Cofar-B is manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing.
