About Fusidus-BC Cream
Fusidus-BC Cream contains Fusidic Acid IP 2% w/w + Beclomethasone. Fusidic acid is a narrow-spectrum topical antibiotic with potent activity against Staphylococcus aureus including methicillin-sensitive strains.
The BC combination adds Beclomethasone for inflamed infected dermatoses where steroid-driven inflammation control is also needed.

Mechanism of Action
Fusidic Acid is a steroid-related antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by interfering with translation elongation factor G — preventing release of EF-G from the ribosome after GTP hydrolysis. Highly active against Staphylococcus aureus. Beclomethasone is a topical corticosteroid that suppresses local inflammation via lipocortin induction.
