About Trucip-TS Tablet
Trucip-TS Tablet combines Cyproheptadine 2 mg + Tricholine Citrate 275 mg + Sorbitol — triple-action appetite stimulant for paediatric and adult anorexia. Tricholine supports hepatic fat metabolism; Sorbitol provides mild osmotic effect.
Lower Cyproheptadine dose suitable for adults and older children where sedation must be minimised.

Mechanism of Action
Cyproheptadine is a first-generation H1 antihistamine with 5-HT2 receptor antagonist activity. Used primarily as appetite stimulant in paediatrics and adults — increases food intake via hypothalamic effects. Tricholine Citrate supports hepatic fat metabolism. Sorbitol acts as osmotic laxative and mild appetite-supporting agent.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 ml or 1 tablet twice daily. Children: as per age/weight.
Side Effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth, increased appetite, weight gain, urinary retention (anticholinergic effects). Mild diarrhoea (Sorbitol at higher doses).
Contraindications & Precautions
Narrow-angle glaucoma, BPH with urinary retention, severe heart disease, MAOI use, neonates (apnoea risk).
