About Nexocam-250 Tablet
Nexocam-250 Tablet provides Tranexamic Acid 250 mg — the standard dose for menorrhagia (reduces blood loss by 40–60%), dental procedures in haemophilia, surgical bleeding, and post-partum haemorrhage. Also used in melasma (off-label).

Mechanism of Action
Tranexamic Acid is a synthetic lysine analogue that reversibly binds plasminogen lysine binding sites — preventing plasminogen activation and fibrinolysis. Reduces blood loss in menorrhagia, surgical bleeding, trauma (CRASH-2 trial), and post-partum haemorrhage (WOMAN trial).
Dosage & Administration
Menorrhagia: 1 g (4 tablets of 250 mg) every 6 hours during menstruation x 5 days max. Surgical: as protocol.
Side Effects
GI upset, headache, dizziness. Rare visual disturbances. VTE risk theoretical but not increased in major trials.
Contraindications & Precautions
Active VTE, severe renal impairment, subarachnoid haemorrhage (theoretical), colour vision disturbance, history of seizures.
