About Linorid-600 Tablet
Linorid-600 Tablet contains Linezolid 600 mg — the standard adult dose for hospital-acquired MRSA pneumonia, VRE bacteraemia, complicated skin infections, and drug-resistant tuberculosis. Excellent oral bioavailability allows IV-to-oral switch.
Reserved use to preserve activity against resistant organisms — typical duration 7–14 days for most infections (longer for TB).

Mechanism of Action
Linezolid is an oxazolidinone antibiotic — binds 23S ribosomal RNA inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at initiation phase. Active against vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), MRSA, drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB). 100% oral bioavailability — IV-to-oral equivalent.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 600 mg every 12 hours orally or IV.
Side Effects
Thrombocytopenia (with >14 day use, monitor weekly), peripheral and optic neuropathy (prolonged use), lactic acidosis, serotonin syndrome (with SSRIs).
Contraindications & Precautions
Concurrent MAO inhibitors, uncontrolled hypertension, pheochromocytoma, carcinoid, thyrotoxicosis. Caution with SSRIs, tricyclics, sympathomimetics.
