About Linorid-600 IV
Linorid-600 IV Infusion delivers Linezolid 600 mg in 300 ml IV bag — for ICU patients with MRSA pneumonia, VRE bacteraemia, severe SSTIs, or those unable to take oral medication. Standard 30-minute infusion every 12 hours.

Mechanism of Action
Linezolid is an oxazolidinone antibiotic — binds 23S ribosomal RNA inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at initiation phase. Active against vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), MRSA, drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB). 100% oral bioavailability — IV-to-oral equivalent.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 600 mg IV every 12 hours infused over 30 minutes.
Side Effects
Thrombocytopenia (with >14 day use, monitor weekly), peripheral and optic neuropathy (prolonged use), lactic acidosis, serotonin syndrome (with SSRIs). Infusion site reactions.
Contraindications & Precautions
Concurrent MAO inhibitors, uncontrolled hypertension, pheochromocytoma, carcinoid, thyrotoxicosis. Caution with SSRIs, tricyclics, sympathomimetics.
