A monopoly pharma franchise gives you the sole right to sell a company’s products in your area. This page explains what monopoly rights mean in practice, how the area is agreed, what you must do to keep it, and how to start.

What monopoly rights mean

In an ordinary distributorship, a company may have several distributors in the same city selling the same brands, so prices get cut and nobody invests in doctor promotion. In a monopoly PCD franchise the company appoints only one partner for an agreed area and does not supply those products to anyone else there. The partner does the promotion, builds the prescriptions and keeps the benefit. If you work more, you get more – the brand you build in your area stays yours.

How the area is defined

  • Size: usually a district or a group of districts, agreed before the first order. Larger areas can be given to partners with a team and stockist network.
  • Products: monopoly can cover the whole general range or one division – derma, cardiac-diabetic, gynaecology, ophthalmic, paediatric, orthopaedic or ayurvedic.
  • Check first: some areas are already taken. Send your district on WhatsApp and we confirm availability the same day.

Frequently asked questions

What is a monopoly pharma franchise?

A PCD franchise in which the company appoints only one partner for an agreed area, such as a district or a group of districts, and does not supply its products to anyone else there. The partner promotes and distributes the company’s brands in that area without competition from the company.

How big is the monopoly area?

Usually a district or a few districts. It depends on the partner’s reach, the number of doctors and chemists they cover and the products they take. Trumac Healthcare agrees the area with each partner before the first order.

Is there a fee for monopoly rights?

No. Trumac Healthcare does not charge a franchise fee or deposit for monopoly rights. The minimum first order is ₹25,000 of products at net rates.

Can I get monopoly rights for one division only?

Yes. You can take monopoly for the general range or for a division such as derma (Arcas Biolabs), cardiac-diabetic (Ecron Life Sciences), ophthalmic or ayurvedic (Truvedic), and add divisions later.

What happens if I stop ordering?

Monopoly rights are kept active by regular business from the area. If an area stays inactive for a long period, the company may discuss it with the partner and, if needed, appoint someone else for that area.

Which monopoly pharma company is in Chandigarh or Panchkula?
