About Ofzac-100 DT Tablet
Ofzac-100 DT Tablet provides Ofloxacin 100 mg as dispersible tablet — for older children able to take tablets and small adults requiring lower dose.

Mechanism of Action
Ofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone — inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV blocking DNA replication. Active against gram-negative aerobes, atypicals (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma), and many gram-positives. Excellent oral bioavailability (~95%).
Dosage & Administration
Children: 10 mg/kg twice daily. Adults: 1–2 tablets twice daily.
Side Effects
GI upset, headache, dizziness, photosensitivity, tendon rupture (rare), QT prolongation, peripheral neuropathy, dysglycaemia.
Contraindications & Precautions
Children below 18, pregnancy, lactation, history of FQ tendinopathy, severe hepatic impairment, prolonged QT.
