About Ofzac-200 DT
Ofzac-200 DT provides Ofloxacin 200 mg dispersible tablet — the standard adult oral fluoroquinolone for typhoid, UTI, prostatitis, gonorrhoea (resistance increasing), and skin/soft-tissue infections.

Mechanism of Action
Ofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone — inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV blocking DNA replication. Active against gram-negative aerobes, atypicals (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma), and many gram-positives. Excellent oral bioavailability (~95%).
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 200 mg twice daily for 7–14 days based on infection.
Side Effects
GI upset, headache, dizziness, photosensitivity, tendon rupture (rare), QT prolongation, peripheral neuropathy, dysglycaemia.
Contraindications & Precautions
Children below 18, pregnancy, lactation, history of FQ tendinopathy, severe hepatic impairment, prolonged QT.
