About Ofzac-400 Tablet
Ofzac-400 Tablet contains Ofloxacin 400 mg — single-tablet daily dose enabling once-daily administration for prostatitis, severe UTI, and certain typhoid/gastrointestinal infection protocols.

Mechanism of Action
Ofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone — inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV blocking DNA replication. Active against gram-negative aerobes, atypicals (Chlamydia, Mycoplasma), and many gram-positives. Excellent oral bioavailability (~95%).
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg twice daily.
Side Effects
GI upset, headache, dizziness, photosensitivity, tendon rupture (rare), QT prolongation, peripheral neuropathy, dysglycaemia.
Contraindications & Precautions
Children below 18, pregnancy, lactation, history of FQ tendinopathy, severe hepatic impairment, prolonged QT.
