About Mefrut Plus Tablet
Mefrut Plus Tablet combines Paracetamol 250 mg with Mefenamic Acid 100 mg — synergistic antipyretic and analgesic combination for paediatric and small adult fever, dysmenorrhoea, and mild-moderate musculoskeletal pain.

Mechanism of Action
Mefenamic Acid is a fenamate-class NSAID — non-selective COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor with additional antagonism at peripheral prostaglandin receptors. Particularly effective for menorrhagia and primary dysmenorrhoea due to additional effect on endometrial prostaglandin signalling. Paracetamol provides central antipyretic and analgesic action through COX-3 inhibition and endocannabinoid modulation.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily. Children: weight-adjusted dosing.
Side Effects
GI upset, dyspepsia, diarrhoea (common with Mefenamic), peptic ulcer, headache, dizziness, drowsiness. Hepatotoxicity at high paracetamol doses.
