Mechanism of Action
Mefenamic Acid is a fenamate-class NSAID — non-selective COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor with additional antagonism at peripheral prostaglandin receptors. Particularly effective for menorrhagia and primary dysmenorrhoea due to additional effect on endometrial prostaglandin signalling. Paracetamol provides additional central analgesic and antipyretic action.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily after food.
