About Cofar-DR Syrup

Cofar-DR Syrup combines Ambroxol 30 mg (mucolytic), Desloratadine 2.5 mg (non-sedating antihistamine) and Guaifenesin (expectorant) per 5 ml. Used for productive cough with allergic component — the higher Ambroxol dose (30 mg vs 15 mg in standard formulations) provides stronger mucolytic action.

Desloratadine is the active metabolite of loratadine with longer duration and similarly low sedation. The combination is preferred for daytime use when patient sedation is undesirable.

Cofar-DR is manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing.

Indications

  • Productive cough with allergic component
  • Allergic bronchitis
