About Footsilk Cream
Footsilk Cream combines three keratolytic-humectants — Urea 10%, Lactic Acid 10% and Propylene Glycol 10% — for cracked heels, callosities, xerosis and ichthyotic skin. Higher than standard 5% urea creams to break thick stratum corneum on the feet.
Urea breaks hydrogen bonds within keratin, softening hyperkeratotic skin. Lactic acid (alpha-hydroxy acid) loosens corneocyte adhesion. Propylene glycol acts as humectant and penetration enhancer — the combination outperforms single-agent moisturisers in diabetic foot xerosis.

Mechanism of Action
Urea hydrates by binding water in stratum corneum and breaks keratin disulfide bonds. Lactic acid disrupts corneocyte cohesion. Propylene glycol acts as humectant.
Dosage & Administration
Apply to clean, dry affected area twice daily. Best at bedtime under cotton socks for occlusion.
Side Effects
Mild burning/stinging initially. Photosensitivity (lactic acid). Avoid open wounds.
