About Gabacam-100 Tablet
Gabacam-100 Tablet contains Gabapentin 100 mg — the standard starting dose for neuropathic pain and partial seizures. Used for initial titration in diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, and as adjunct in epilepsy.
Low starting dose minimises sedation and dizziness during titration. Typical titration: 100 mg three times daily for 3 days, then increase to 300 mg three times daily over a week.

Mechanism of Action
Gabapentin is a structural analogue of GABA that binds the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in CNS, reducing release of excitatory neurotransmitters (glutamate, noradrenaline, substance P). This dampens hyperexcitability in neurons responsible for neuropathic pain and partial seizures.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 100 mg three times daily initially. Titrate up to 300–600 mg three times daily based on response. Renal dose adjustment required.

Dizziness, somnolence, peripheral oedema, weight gain, ataxia, blurred vision. Generally well tolerated; sedation dose-dependent.
