About Gabacam-300 Tablet
Gabacam-300 Tablet contains Gabapentin 300 mg — the standard maintenance dose for established neuropathic pain. Total daily dose of 900–1800 mg is typical for efficacy, divided into three doses.
Effective in diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, and post-surgical neuropathic pain.

Mechanism of Action
Gabapentin is a structural analogue of GABA that binds the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in CNS, reducing release of excitatory neurotransmitters (glutamate, noradrenaline, substance P). This dampens hyperexcitability in neurons responsible for neuropathic pain and partial seizures.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 300 mg three times daily. May increase up to 600 mg three times daily.
Side Effects
Dizziness, somnolence, peripheral oedema, weight gain, ataxia, blurred vision. Generally well tolerated; sedation dose-dependent.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in renal impairment (dose adjust). Avoid abrupt discontinuation. Caution in elderly and history of substance abuse.
