Mechanism of Action
Rabeprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated acid secretion. Faster onset (within 1 hour) and less CYP2C19 dependence than Omeprazole. Domperidone is peripheral D2 receptor antagonist enhancing GI motility, accelerating gastric emptying, increasing LOS tone without crossing BBB.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule once daily before breakfast.

Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk, C. difficile colitis. Hyperprolactinaemia, QT prolongation (Domperidone — short-term use).
