About Trufex-AM Tablet
Trufex-AM is a triple-action respiratory tablet that combines Montelukast 10 mg (leukotriene receptor antagonist), Fexofenadine 120 mg (non-sedating second-generation antihistamine) and Acebrophylline 200 mg in sustained-release form (mucolytic + bronchodilator).
The combination is uniquely suited to patients who have allergic rhinitis with concomitant asthma, chronic bronchitis or COPD where bronchospasm and excessive mucus co-exist with allergic upper-airway disease.

Mechanism of Action
Montelukast blocks CysLT1 receptors on bronchial smooth muscle and inflammatory cells, reducing leukotriene-mediated bronchoconstriction, mucus secretion and eosinophil recruitment. Fexofenadine selectively antagonises peripheral H1 receptors to control histamine-driven sneezing, rhinorrhoea and itch without crossing the blood-brain barrier. Acebrophylline is a salt of ambroxol and theophylline-acetate: ambroxol hydrolyses mucopolysaccharide fibres and stimulates surfactant; theophylline component inhibits phosphodiesterase, raising intracellular cAMP for bronchodilation.
