About Latomust Eye Drops
Latomust Eye Drops contains Latanoprost 0.005%, a prostaglandin F2-alpha analogue and the prototype topical PGA used in glaucoma. Once-daily evening dosing produces 25-32% intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction — the largest single-agent effect available.
It is indicated as first-line therapy in primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension, and as second-line when beta-blocker monotherapy is inadequate or contraindicated.

Mechanism of Action
Latanoprost is hydrolysed by esterases in the cornea to the active free acid. It binds the FP prostanoid receptor in the ciliary body, increasing uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humour (the alternative outflow pathway). This produces sustained 25-32% IOP reduction with once-daily evening dosing — the largest single-agent IOP effect available.
