About Macral-AD Shampoo
Macral-AD Shampoo combines the antifungal Ketoconazole with hair-strengthening Biotin, the panthothenic-acid derivative D-Panthenol and soothing Aloe Vera Extract.
It is positioned for seborrhoeic scalp dermatitis with concomitant hair fall and hair-quality concerns, offering both anti-dandruff and hair-care benefits in one product.

Mechanism of Action
Ketoconazole inhibits fungal 14-α-demethylase, blocking conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol. The resulting depletion of ergosterol and accumulation of toxic sterol intermediates disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, producing fungistatic and fungicidal effect. Particularly active against Malassezia (seborrhoeic dermatitis, tinea versicolor) and dermatophytes. Biotin (B7) is a coenzyme for hair-keratin synthesis. D-Panthenol (provitamin B5) penetrates the hair shaft as panthenol, providing moisture and thickness. Aloe Vera soothes scalp irritation.
