About Iromac Syrup

Mechanism of Action
Carbonyl Iron is highly bioavailable elemental iron in micronised form — better tolerated than ferrous salts with similar absorption. Folic Acid and Vitamin B12 support DNA synthesis for haematopoiesis. Zinc complements as a cofactor for multiple haematopoietic enzymes.
Dosage & Administration
Children: 5 ml twice daily. Adults: 10–15 ml twice daily.
Side Effects
Constipation, dark stools, metallic taste, occasional nausea. Generally well tolerated with food. Tooth staining (rinse mouth after dose, dilute with water).
Contraindications & Precautions
Iron overload disorders (haemochromatosis, thalassaemia), peptic ulcer, megaloblastic anaemia without B12 supplementation, pernicious anaemia.
