Mechanism of Action
Clindamycin is lincosamide antibiotic — binds 50S ribosome inhibiting protein synthesis in Cutibacterium acnes. Topical 1% for acne. Adapalene is third-generation retinoid normalising follicular keratinisation — first-line for comedonal acne.
