About Esorut-20 Tablet
Esorut-20 Tablet contains Esomeprazole 20 mg — used for symptomatic GERD, maintenance of healed erosive oesophagitis, peptic ulcer disease and as part of H. pylori eradication. Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole with improved pharmacokinetic profile.
Standard maintenance dose for chronic acid-related conditions. Higher 40 mg dose used for healing phase of severe oesophagitis.

Indications
- Symptomatic GERD
- Maintenance of healed erosive oesophagitis
- Peptic ulcer disease
- H. pylori eradication (combination)

Mechanism of Action
Same as Esorut IV.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 20 mg once daily, 30 min before meals. Continue 4–8 weeks then re-evaluate.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Concurrent rilpivirine. Long-term use without indication.
