About Ferocan-CV Tablet

Mechanism of Action
Faropenem is a broad-spectrum oral penem antibiotic — structurally related to carbapenems but orally bioavailable. Binds penicillin-binding proteins to inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis. Active against gram-positive, gram-negative including ESBL-producing organisms, and anaerobes. Clavulanate inhibits beta-lactamases.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet twice daily.
Side Effects
Same as Ferocan-200 + GI upset from clavulanate.
Contraindications & Precautions
Same as Ferocan-200. History of cholestatic jaundice with clavulanate.
