About Nifer-XT Syrup
Nifer-XT Syrup contains Ferrous Ascorbate 30 mg + Folic Acid 500 mcg + Multivitamin + Multimineral per 5 ml. Ferrous Ascorbate combines elemental iron with ascorbic acid, providing better bioavailability and less GI upset than older iron salts.
Indicated for iron-deficiency anaemia (treatment and prophylaxis), nutritional anaemia during pregnancy and lactation, paediatric anaemia and general nutritional support in anaemic patients.

Mechanism of Action
Ferrous Ascorbate provides reduced-form iron with built-in Vitamin C which maintains iron in the ferrous (more absorbable) state. Folic Acid is essential for DNA synthesis in erythroid cells. The multivitamin/mineral matrix corrects co-existing micronutrient deficiencies.
