About Noxirut-MR Tablet
Noxirut-MR Tablet combines Lornoxicam 8 mg with Thiocolchicoside 4 mg — for acute low back pain with muscle spasm, neck spasm, and post-traumatic musculoskeletal pain with spasm.

Mechanism of Action
Lornoxicam is a potent oxicam-class NSAID — non-selective COX-1/COX-2 inhibitor with strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Shorter half-life (~4 hours) than other oxicams allowing dose flexibility. Comparable efficacy to opioid analgesics for post-operative pain. Thiocolchicoside is a GABA-A partial agonist in spinal cord producing selective muscle relaxation.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet twice daily for 5–7 days.
Side Effects
GI upset, peptic ulcer, fluid retention, hepatic and renal effects. Higher GI toxicity than COX-2 selective. Drowsiness, diarrhoea (Thiocolchicoside).
Contraindications & Precautions
Active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, third trimester pregnancy, severe renal/hepatic impairment, aspirin-sensitive asthma.
