About Panor-IT Capsule
Panor-IT Capsule combines Pantoprazole 40 mg with Itopride 150 mg SR — Itopride is a newer prokinetic with dual D2 antagonist + cholinesterase inhibitor action. Better safety profile than Domperidone regarding hyperprolactinaemia and QT.

- GERD with delayed gastric emptying
- Functional dyspepsia
- Diabetic gastroparesis
- Refractory reflux
Mechanism of Action
Pantoprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated acid secretion. Itopride is a peripheral D2 receptor antagonist with additional acetylcholinesterase inhibitor activity — enhances upper GI motility. Less hyperprolactinaemia and QT risk than Domperidone.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule once daily before breakfast.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk. Itopride: rare extrapyramidal symptoms, hyperprolactinaemia (less than Domperidone).
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in severe hepatic impairment.
