About Rosucop-ASP 10/75 Capsule

Mechanism of Action
Rosuvastatin is a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) — reduces hepatic cholesterol synthesis, upregulates LDL receptors, lowers LDL-cholesterol by 45–55%. Higher potency and lower CYP3A4 interactions than other statins. Aspirin 75 mg irreversibly inhibits platelet COX-1 reducing thromboxane synthesis — preventing thrombotic CV events.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule once daily after food.
Side Effects
Myalgia (5–10%), transaminase elevation, rare rhabdomyolysis, new-onset diabetes (small risk), GI upset. GI bleeding, peptic ulcer, bruising (Aspirin).
Contraindications & Precautions
Active liver disease, pregnancy, lactation, severe renal impairment (caution), concurrent cyclosporin, history of statin-induced myopathy. Active GI bleed, severe peptic ulcer, bleeding diathesis, aspirin allergy.
