Mechanism of Action
Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor — prevents breakdown of cGMP in penile cavernous tissue allowing prolonged smooth muscle relaxation following sexual stimulation. Onset 30–60 minutes, duration 4 hours. Dapoxetine delays ejaculation by increasing serotonergic tone at ejaculatory reflex centres.
