About Trumide-Plus 10/50 Tablet
Trumide-Plus 10/50 Tablet contains Spironolactone 50 mg + Torasemide 10 mg. Torasemide is a more predictable loop diuretic than furosemide with longer duration of action.
Indicated for heart failure, hypertension, oedema of cardiac, hepatic and renal origin.

Mechanism of Action
Torasemide is a long-acting loop diuretic that inhibits the Na+/K+/2Cl- cotransporter in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle. Compared to furosemide, it has more predictable absorption, longer duration, and additional anti-aldosterone effect. Spironolactone is an aldosterone antagonist providing potassium-sparing diuresis — the combination preserves potassium while producing strong diuresis.
