About Trusmile-CT Dental Gel
Trusmile-CT Dental Gel is a quad-action oral preparation combining Tannic Acid 5% (astringent), Choline Salicylate 8% (NSAID), Cetrimide 0.01% (antiseptic) and Lidocaine 2% (local anaesthetic). It addresses pain, inflammation, infection and exudate simultaneously.
It is particularly useful in bleeding aphthous ulcers, post-extraction sockets, denture sore spots and gingivitis with bleeding — where the astringent action of tannic acid provides additional benefit beyond simple analgesic gels.

Indications
- Painful bleeding mouth ulcers
- Acute necrotising ulcerative gingivitis (Vincent's angina)

Mechanism of Action
Tannic Acid precipitates surface proteins to form a protective astringent film that controls minor bleeding and exudation. Choline Salicylate inhibits cyclooxygenase locally to reduce pain and inflammation. Lidocaine blocks voltage-gated sodium channels for rapid surface anaesthesia. Cetrimide is a quaternary-ammonium antiseptic that disrupts bacterial cell membranes and controls the local bioburden.
