About Telimike-40 CL Tablet
Telimike-40 CL Tablet combines Telmisartan 40 with Cilnidipine 10 mg — Cilnidipine is fourth-generation CCB with both L-type and N-type calcium channel blockade. Less peripheral oedema and sympathetic activation than Amlodipine.

Mechanism of Action
Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) with longest half-life (~24 hours) among ARBs — selectively blocks AT1 receptors causing vasodilation. Also activates PPAR-gamma providing metabolic benefits beyond BP lowering. Cilnidipine blocks both L-type and N-type calcium channels — N-type blockade reduces sympathetic outflow.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet once daily.
Side Effects
Dizziness, hyperkalaemia, increased creatinine, angioedema (rare), dyslipidaemia. Less peripheral oedema than Amlodipine.
Contraindications & Precautions
Pregnancy (teratogenic), bilateral renal artery stenosis, severe hepatic impairment, hyperkalaemia.
