Mechanism of Action
Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that binds bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis. Particularly potent against Gram-negative pathogens including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Fluorometholone is a soft corticosteroid with reduced IOP-elevating potential due to rapid metabolism in the anterior chamber.
Dosage & Administration
- 1 drop in affected eye 4 times daily
- Use for max 1–2 weeks
- Monitor IOP if prolonged
