About Dexlana-30 Capsule
Dexlana-30 Capsule contains Dexlansoprazole 30 mg in a dual delayed-release formulation — the R-enantiomer of lansoprazole with extended pH-control action. The dual-release technology provides two peaks of drug release, extending acid-suppression duration beyond conventional PPIs.
Used for symptomatic GERD, erosive oesophagitis maintenance and conditions requiring sustained acid suppression. The 30 mg dose is for maintenance of healed erosive oesophagitis and symptomatic non-erosive GERD.

Mechanism of Action
Dexlansoprazole irreversibly binds gastric H+/K+-ATPase (proton pumps) in parietal cells, blocking final step of acid secretion. Dual delayed-release technology produces two release peaks for extended acid control.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 30 mg once daily for 4 weeks (symptomatic non-erosive GERD); maintenance of healed erosive oesophagitis: 30 mg daily for 6 months.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, increased fracture risk, C. difficile infection.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Concurrent rilpivirine. Long-term use without indication.
