About G-Lex Laxative Powder
G-Lex Laxative Powder is a herbal laxative combining Ispaghula Husk (bulk-forming) with Senna and Triphala (mild stimulant + cleansing). The blend supports bowel regularity in chronic constipation, irritable bowel and post-surgical constipation.
Bulk-forming laxatives are first-line for chronic functional constipation per gastroenterology guidelines. Adding standardised senna at low dose accelerates onset to 8–12 hours vs Isabgol alone (24–72 hours). Triphala adds antioxidant and mild prokinetic effect.

Mechanism of Action
Isabgol's mucilage absorbs water in the gut, increasing stool bulk and mechanically stimulating peristalsis. Senna's anthraquinone glycosides (sennosides) are metabolised by colonic bacteria to rhein anthrone, stimulating myenteric plexus and inhibiting colonic water absorption.
Dosage & Administration
